At Slater Menswear, we understand that a great fit makes all the difference. That’s why we offer a Free Alterations Service in every store. Our expert tailors ensure your suit is the right style, shape, colour, and most importantly, the perfect fit - every time. We’re here to help you look and feel your best, with a suit that’s tailored just for you.
SUITS
Our suits are sold as a complete package, and as standard trousers will be 6” smaller than the chosen jacket chest size. This allows us to continue to offer quality suits for great value and the added benefit of being a more sustainable way of manufacturing and selling suits. By selling suits as a package with the option to alter, instead of selling separates, we reduce the number of garments that are not sold throughout the season due to mismatched sizing and ultimately end up in landfills.
We offer alterations on all suits purchased from Slater Menswear online or in-store, whether that is a single suit or a full wedding party, which can add up to big savings on external costs.

TROUSERS
Generally, trousers can be altered by either easing out or taking in by 2", but we always recommend checking with a member of staff on specific styles and brands of trousers.

Our alterations service is available free of charge in-store at the time of purchase or within 28 days of ordering your item online.* Simply bring your order confirmation to your nearest store, and our trained staff will be happy to assist with your alterations.
The alteration timeline widely varies depending on what alterations are required and the quantity of items; however, your fitter will advise at the time of your fitting and arrange a collection date.
*All items submitted for alterations must be unworn. For any items ordered online, we cannot carry out alterations before they are dispatched to you.
