We have broken down the differences in shirt fits and cuts to help you make a more informed choice about which shirt fit is best for your shape and style.

Key Measurements

Our range of long-sleeved shirts start from a 14" collar up to size 23" in select fits and 3 sleeve lengths: short, regular and extra long. To achieve the perfect fit, you’ll need to know a few key measurements.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on where and how to measure:

1. Neck Circumference

Start by measuring around the base of your neck where the collar of the shirt will sit. Place the tape measure around your neck and leave a little breathing room by placing two fingers under the tape.

2. Chest Width

Measure the fullest part of your chest. Stand relaxed with natural posture and arms at your sides, and ensure the tape is level across your back.

3. Sleeve Length

Start at the back of your neck, where the shoulder seam meets the collar, and measure along the top of your shoulder down to your wrist. Bend your elbow slightly as you do this to account for natural movement.

4. Shirt Length

The length of the shirt is measured from the base of the neck to where you want it to end. Typically, this will be just below the hips for a formal shirt, ensuring it stays tucked in throughout the day.

5. Shoulder Width

Measure from one shoulder bone to the other across your back. This measurement is crucial for ensuring the shirt fits well across your shoulders and doesn’t pull or bunch up when you move.

Understanding the Different Fits

Once you have your measurements, the next step is to choose the fit that best suits your body type and personal style.

Here’s a breakdown of our main fit options:

Slim Fit SHIRTS

The slim fit is close to the body but allows for movement, particularly around the waist and chest. This fit is perfect for men who are in good shape or prefer a more fitted finish. It offers a sleek appearance without being too tight.

Tailored Fit SHIRTS

The tailored fit strikes a balance between slim and regular fits. It’s cut closer to the body than a regular fit but offers more room than a slim fit, particularly around the shoulders and chest. This fit is ideal for men who want a well-defined silhouette without sacrificing comfort. It’s versatile and works well for most body types.

Regular Fit

The regular fit is the most classic and traditional of the three. It offers the most room in the chest, waist, and sleeves, providing a more relaxed and comfortable fit. This style is perfect for men who prefer a looser fit or have a larger frame.

Getting the perfect fit for a men’s formal shirt is all about precise measurements and understanding your fit options. By measuring your neck, chest, sleeves, shirt length, and shoulders, you can ensure a shirt that fits like it was made just for you.
