ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We are doing our bit for the environment

Our bags are recyclable and we strongly encourage customers to reuse and recycle them at the end of their useful life.

We ask our suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging they use and all waste at our warehouse is recycled.

Cardboard boxes and wooden pallets used in our warehouse are reused and then recycled and we have recycling bins for plastics and cardboard.

We have begun a program of installing low-energy fittings and air conditioning units in our stores and distribution centre in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

All our offices recycle paper and strongly encourage employees not to print documents unnecessarily. We recycle all ink and printer cartridges.

Now you can do yours

Slater Menswear goods are supplied to our customers in packaging that may be recycled (e.g. plastic & cardboard). We encourage our customers to reuse and recycle as much of the packaging as possible.

For an explanation of the symbols and codes used to identify packing materials, please see the symbols below:

The NAMP-approved recycled paper mark. Products bearing this symbol must be manufactured from a minimum 75% parer and board waste, no part of which should contain mill produced waste.

The trademark of the Forest Stewardship Council indicates that wood used in a product came from a forest managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.

PET - Polyethylene Terepthalate

LDPE - Low density Polythylene

Mobius Loop - This material is capable of being recycled.

We recommend that our customers contact their local authority for further information on local recycling facilities or collection services. The following website may be of further use in obtaining contact details in this regard:-

Our customers role in contributing to reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging and packaging waste is crucial as they, as the end user, can influence whether the material is recycled/reused or sent for disposal.
